When a vID order requires manual review, it’s because of one or more of the following scenarios:
Manual Data Entry Issues
Manual data entry is a fallback for users who fail to scan their identification. This process introduces significant risks, particularly when the user fails to scan their ID twice. The reliance on manual entry can lead to inaccuracies, which may complicate the verification process, thus requiring manual review.
Verification Failures
Verification failures occur when one or more necessary checks fail, resulting in potential security risks. This is especially crucial in environments that require stringent identity verification.
IP Address Flag
The system flags submissions from suspicious connections or locations that differ from the address associated with the ID scan. Such discrepancies can suggest potential fraudulent activity and warrant further investigation.
Name Mismatch
A name mismatch occurs when the name entered during invitation creation does not match the name extracted from the ID scan. This inconsistency can delay processing and raise questions about the validity of the submission.
Invalid ID Type Submitted
An order is flagged when a user submits an ID type that is unsupported by vID or the package requirements.
